Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar or brown sugar for deeper flavor
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice optional

Instructions
 

Make the Syrup:

  • In a small saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Add Spices:

  • Add the cinnamon stick, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, and allspice (if using). Simmer the mixture for 5 minutes, allowing the spices to infuse.

Add Vanilla:

  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

Strain and Store:

  • Let the mixture cool slightly, then strain out the cinnamon stick. Pour the spiced vanilla syrup into an airtight jar or bottle. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

Adjust spices to taste; more cinnamon or nutmeg can be added for a stronger flavor.
Use this spiced vanilla syrup to sweeten coffee, drizzle over pancakes, or mix into whipped cream.
