Equipment

  • Blender or food processor
  • Peeler (optional, if peeling peaches)
  • Strainer (optional, for a smoother puree)
  • Knife and cutting board

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe peaches peeled and pitted
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1-2 tbsp water if needed, to adjust consistency
  • 1 tbsp sugar or honey optional, for extra sweetness

Instructions

Prepare the Peaches:

  • Peel and pit the peaches. Cut them into chunks and place them into a blender or food processor.

Blend the Peaches:

  • Add the lemon juice to the peaches. This will help preserve the color and add a touch of brightness.
  • Blend the peaches until smooth. If the puree is too thick, add 1-2 tablespoons of water to reach the desired consistency.

Adjust Sweetness (Optional):

  • If your peaches are not sweet enough, add 1 tablespoon of sugar or honey and blend again until well combined.

Strain for Smoothness (Optional):

  • For a perfectly smooth puree, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any pulp or fibers.

Serve or Store:

  • Use the peach puree immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can also freeze it for later use.

Notes

This puree is perfect for adding to cocktails, mocktails, smoothies, or desserts like ice cream.
If you want to make baby food, skip the sugar and ensure your peaches are ripe and naturally sweet.
You can substitute peaches with nectarines or apricots for a similar flavor.
