Equipment

  • Skillet or frying pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Knife and cutting board

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups chopped romaine or mixed greens
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 cup sliced pickles
  • 1/4 cup red onion thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional
  • 1 avocado sliced (optional)
  • 1/4 cup burger sauce see recipe above or your preferred dressing

Instructions

Cook the Ground Beef:

  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once heated, add the ground beef and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook for about 7-8 minutes, breaking the meat apart until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat if necessary.

Prepare the Salad Base:

  • In a large mixing bowl, toss together the chopped lettuce, cherry tomatoes, pickles, and red onions.

Assemble the Burger Bowls:

  • Divide the salad mixture into bowls.
  • Top each bowl with the cooked ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese (if using), and sliced avocado.

Add the Sauce:

  • Drizzle the burger sauce or your preferred dressing over each bowl.

Serve and Enjoy:

  • Serve immediately while the beef is warm. Mix everything together and enjoy your burger in a bowl!

Notes

You can swap out ground beef for ground turkey, chicken, or even plant-based meat alternatives.
Feel free to add more toppings like crispy bacon, jalapeños, or sautéed mushrooms for extra flavor.
This recipe is keto-friendly, but you can customize it with your favorite ingredients or condiments.
